ISIDORO POLENCIC: A JOURNEY TO THE NORTH-EAST, IN THE HEART OF COLLIO

Collio: a crescent of gently rolling hills, interspersed with few houses and small villages kissed by sunlight, where the geometry of the rows forms a green sea of vines.

THE VINEYARDS

Our vineyards are spread over an expansive area that reaches the localities of Cormòns, Ruttars, Plessiva, Novali, San Floriano del Collio, through to Mossa and Castelletto. Different soils and different microclimates allow us to choose the best grapes from each variety to create wines of a high level, with the utmost quality and great personality.

GOOD WINE IS DETERMINED IN THE VINEYARD

Wine is made in the vineyards, with the moods of the earth and gifts of the sun, and not least the care, labour and passion of us wine producers.

Protected by the Julian Alps, Collio enjoys exceptional pedoclimatic conditions, with soils composed of marl and sandstone of Eocene origin and a continental climate characterised in summer by warm days that allow the grapes to perfectly ripen, alternating with cool nights that preserve their acidity and develop the aromatic qualities. This is where Polencic Isidoro wines are developed.
